Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0277
Description
The IL-1 family is comprised of 11 structurally related ligands, including recently re-named IL-36α (IL-1F6), β (IL-1F8) and γ (IL-1F9). IL-36β is highly expressed in psoriatic plaques, and at lower levels in various other tissues. IL-36β signals through the IL-1Rrp2 (IL-1R6) receptor, which is primarily expressed on certain dendritic cells. The interaction of the IL-1Rrp2 receptor with IL-36 ligands induces dendritic cell maturation and activation. IL-36β also functions as an agonist of NF-kappaB, and stimulates the production of pro-inflammatory proteins, including IL-6, IL-8, BD- 2, and BD-3. Recombinant human IL-36 beta is a 17.3 kDa protein containing 154 amino acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human IL36B expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
17.3 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0277-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0277-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Activity
Measured by its ability to induce IL-8 production by human PBMCs.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered through a 0.2 micron filter and lyophilized from 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.0).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored dessicated at -20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at –20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
