- Specification
- Recommended Products
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0219
Description
Recombinant Human Interleukin-3 (rhu IL-3) is a species specific colony stimulating factor, which stimulates colony formation of megakaryocytes, neutrophils, and macrophages from bone marrow cultures. Human IL-3 is a 15.0 kDa single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 133 amino acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human IL3 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
15.0 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0219-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0219-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC and AEX-FLPC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of TF-1 cells is ≤ 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1 x 10^7 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered, concentrated (1 mg/ml) protein solution in water containing 0.3 mg/ml NaHCO .
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized IL-3, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored at - 20°C. Reconstituted IL-3 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0,1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
